The Master of Dental Public and Primary Health (MDPPH) is designed to be an appropriate broad-based course of study for a person who wishes to pursue a career in dental public and primary health.

This program fosters the development of critical analysis and research competence, along with the advanced set of knowledge and skills in dental public health that is required by the specialist in that field. Research topics vary widely, from epidemiological studies to qualitative, educational and clinical studies and health services research.

Admission requirements

Admission to the Master of Public Health requires the following:

• a Bachelor of Dental Science from this University or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty

or

• a bachelor's degree from this University containing a significant component of dental health related coursework, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty
• at least two years experience in the practice of general dentistry

or

• a Graduate Diploma in Dental Public and Primary Health
